Indivisible Las Cruces Membership Votes to Actively Oppose Project Jupiter

.

Statement from Indivisible Las Cruces Regarding Project Jupiter:

At the July 12, 2026, Indivisible Las Cruces General Membership Meeting, our members overwhelmingly expressed their opposition to Project Jupiter.

Following discussion, the membership reached a clear consensus that Indivisible Las Cruces opposes Project Jupiter and calls for the project to be stopped immediately. Our members believe the project raises significant concerns regarding its impacts on our community, water and power resources, environment, and overall quality of life.

This position reflects the will of the members present at the July 12 General Meeting and will guide Indivisible Las Cruces’ advocacy and public education efforts moving forward. We remain committed to supporting responsible, transparent, and sustainable economic development that protects the long-term interests of Doña Ana County and southern New Mexico.
