Project Jupiter Update

At the July 12th General Meeting, our membership voted unanimously to oppose Project Jupiter.  Since then we  have formed a committee of 11, comprised of ILC members and other progressive groups and individuals to work on plans for both the education night (details below) and our strategy to STOP POJECT JUPITER.  We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.

Additionally, at the August 9 general meeting a suggestion was made to ask the county commissioners at the 8/11 BOCC meeting for equal time they allowed Oracle, to do a counter presentation on why we oppose Project Jupiter.  Our membership embraced  this suggestion wholeheartedly.  We were successful in making the request and the board seemed amenable to this idea.  Many Sanchez was provided our contact info and we are waiting to hear back from him on next steps.

Call for Action:   Please contact your district county commissioner OR all county commissioners and ask for equal time for a STOP PROJECT JUPITER presentation.  Contact info for commissioners can be found here:  https://www.donaana.gov/government/board_of_county_commissioners/index.php
List of Commissioners is on the left hand side and when you click on one of their names it takes you to their contact information page.  For questions, email Sheri Reinhart at indivisiblelcnm@gmail.com
